The Sun has returned to my little corner of the globe!!

Upgraded some equipment. Moved near the water, not a lake or ocean like I wanted but I can hear the water running and sometimes the train! Also, still playing around with the switches and things. This is going to take more time than expected and I look forward to it:)

So, without further wait, some more shots!!

Perfect end to an evening.

The weather is getting warmer and I get a bit more “frisky”

Summer/Spring has finally arrived! I say both because as of right now I can get sunny with high eighty-degree weather one day and then forties, rain, and windy the following day. Mother Nature just has not made up her mind on what she wants. This isn’t new behavior for her either. Just after the extended long winter we had, it has become a bit frustrating. More positive note: I have been making good use of the weather! I have been more active enjoying the outdoors and maybe even shooting a bit more.

Everyone likes getting a new toy!!

Took a new lens and a new (new for me!) camera body to some familiar stomping ground to give it a proper shakedown. Equipment performed well. Photographer stumbled with some of the extra features, buttons, and switches. I’m sure in time we will all become better acquainted.

Went through a couple of hundred shots and just decided to show the place I was relaxing most of the afternoon reading, writing, and editing. It truly is a wonderful place to sit and think and I will miss it when I leave. Until then I plan to enjoy it!

So, with some further testing, experimentation, and just plain “fun for me” stuff, I hope to have this new toy licked and ready for daily use.

Overcast…the not so friendly sky.

Most people wouldn’t try to photograph nature on a day with such a thick overcast. I am not like most people. Although, I would love each and every single photo I take be perfect. I am smart enough to know that is just impossible. Also, where would the fun and challenge be? On that note, I seem to have lost all sun altogether behind some rather robust clouds. Judging from the sky (with my expert meteorology skill…lol) I don’t think I will get any usable light for hours. This will end today’s excursion seeking new images for the files. Now I pull up a bench, steam some toons, and type and catalog away. I estimate this process won’t last long as the sun is hidden and WOW! is it cold out here all of the sudden with just a light breeze? Signing off…

Who says you have to work indoors?

It was too beautiful to stay inside typing for the entire day. Grabbed some drinks, food, MacBook, and the child and headed to the lake. If you must type, do it with some style!

Didn’t bring the usual arsenal of photo equipment with me either. Made due with just my phone and ingenuity. Also, thanks to the phone being a personal hotspot, I shall endeavor to be outside all season (weather permitting lol).

Sorry indoor hobbies…you may be on the back burner until another seasonal shift!! Must be careful how I say that. With the way weather patterns are around here, this could be considered as taunting the universe…and I wouldn’t want to do that.
